Head of Content & Social Media

Reporting directly to the CMO, you will build and lead a formidable team of passionate writers, community managers and content creators/curators, while monitoring and managing external agency partners and resources. You’ll work closely with the Marketing and Product departments, driving a content-first approach – and partner brands’ B2C revenues – to astronomical new heights.

Accountability for comms strategy and execution across B2C and B2B brands, encompassing organic social media (content, influencer campaigns and community management), on-site blog and content management, copywriting and TOV, internal, external and retail communications.

You will work with multiple brands, teams and stakeholders to ensure your consistent and effective content strategy is implemented across all product verticals, including but not limited to sportsbook, casino, slot games, virtuals and lotto.

This position is ideally suited to an experienced social and content marketing leader, with vast international B2C marketing experience, and a passion for sports content and building engaged online communities.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the CMO to create and deliver a world-class content strategy for two of the largest betting brands in Africa and Lat-Am.
• Lead the content and social teams with rigour, passion and inspiration.
• Create and execute key social media and content marketing tactics, and work with existing and new partners to generate strong levels of brand equity and high growth performance.
• Accountable for the brands’ on-site content footprint, set KPI frameworks to monitor performance of changeable inventory.
• Ownership of the brands’ core messaging to new and existing users. Using your experience and flair to deliver exactly what the customer craves.
• Regular analysis and reporting to senior business stakeholders on core metrics and trends.
• Deliver exciting and innovative campaigns and communications to millions of potential customers.
• Monitor the competitive landscape to constantly identify new opportunities and ensure the content investments are ahead of the game.
• Drive the comms strategy for the B2B and employer brand. Build a team to help deliver it, with cross-departmental accountability to business development and HR stakeholders.
• Represent the company in the industry, ensuring your finger is firmly on the pulse of the latest trends and advancements.
• Work closely with the creative team to achieve a vibrant visual identity, married to a distinctive tone of voice.

Requirements

• At least 5 years experience in a senior marketing management role for a successful B2C operator in iGaming.
• A detailed understanding of the sporting landscape and a real passion for delivering topical, relevant and engaging content that taps into trending conversations.
• Expert in blogs, content marketing, and social media within the iGaming industry.
• An eye for detail, and an analytical and data-driven methodology that stands up to a complex modern marketing mix.
• Commercially astute, with demonstrable negotiation skills and a proven track record of driving value and scale of content campaigns across owned and earned media channels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
